Barrie Lakeshore Junior A Lacrosse Game

For anyone who is interested,

On Sunday June 3rd at 7pm, the Barrie Lakeshore Junior A Lacrosse team will be taking on the Peterborough Lakers at the Holly Community Center.  Tickets are $8 per adult and $3 per child.  Kids are allowed on the floor between periods with their lacrosse sticks provided they have on a helmet with mask.  This promises to be an action packed, fun filled night that gives our Lacrosse players a chance to see how 'The Big Boys Play!"  Hope to see you there!

Novice Red Tie Barrie 

It was an exciting game yesterday in Barrie - with only 2 subs The Reds battled back in the final period to tie the game and remain undefeated, Caleb and Ethan both scored and Cameron K netted two for The Reds in the 4-4 tie!

Braves Host Stayner Hitmen This Wednesday

Expect some good rematchs at the NSSRC Wednesday May 23rd when the Stayner Hitmen come to town with their Peewee, Midget and Intermediate teams.

The Braves opened the season in Stayner last week with our Novices winning 5-2, the Bantams winning 6-0 and Peewees winning 4-3. Our Midgets took a 7-3 loss and the the Intermediate team dropped a 6-5 decision in a very rough and tumble game that saw 4 players from each team ejected.

The Braves hope to top them at home Wednesday night.

Teams Head To Barrie For First Friendship Games Tuesday

Our 2 Novice teams head to Barrie on May 22nd for their first away games in Local League play. The Reds play at 6pm and the Blues play at 7 at Holly Street Arena.

The first game of the season, against each other, had The Reds beat Blues 7-2 but their was a few "roll in" goals on the board goalie!  Barrie teams won't be so easy...

Peewee Braves Start With 2 Wins

The Huronia Steel Peewee Braves opened their season in Stayner on May 9th with a 3-2 win over Stayner Hitmen. Ben Brazda, Andew Hopkins and Dan Greenop got the goals while Brody Dupuis held off the Stayer team long enough to notch the win.

Thursday the Peewees hosted Barrie and sqeaked out another one goal win beating Barrie 5-4. Lauren Dabrowski got 2 goals in the effort, Ben Brazda scored 1 goal and added 2 assists, Brandon Kelly and Dan Greenop offered a goal and an assist each with Josh StAmant and Noah Dion each assisting. Brody Dupuis turned in another solid effort between the pipes.

The team faces a strong Shelburne team at home on Wednesday May 16th at the NSSRC.
