Braves Elect New President for 2015

At this past AGM MMLA members elected Sherri Laidlaw as president for the 2015 season.

Brian Blanks is returning as a director and Chris Gignac was elected the 3rd director (perhaps the youngest in club history).

Sherri is looking for volunteers to help her and the directorsprepare to deliver a great season.

Watch for details of the registration campaign and don't hesitaste to reach Sherri, Brian or Chris to express your interest in helping with the club.

MMLA Huronia Braves Receive $14600 Trillium Grant

Thanks to the Trillium Foundation Midland Minor Lacrosse will be providing lacrosse sticks and basic equipment to youth attending Discover Lacrosse sessions that the club will be hosting around North Simcoe.

This Trillium Grant also helps our club serve the growing interest we are experiencing in this, Canada’s National Summer game, and provides for safer participation, by investing in needed goaltending equipment.

With this support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation more youth will participate in an energetic and challenging activity that leads to a sport offering a positive. active living experience.

When we see the reaction from both children & parents to this program we know we are able deliver on our promise to THE ONTARIO TRILLIUM FOUNDATION of BUILDING HEALTHY VIBRANT COMMUNITIES.

I invite all of our membership to help the club put this money to work acheiving these goals for our community.
