Midland Parks & Rec Thursday Lacrosse Sessions Start Feb 9th!!!

Good news for kids interested in trying out lacrosse for the first time AND for existing players wanting to improve their skill set. Midland Parks & Rec is dedicating the full gym this year for an 8 week session for both "Intro to Lacrosse" and a new program "Advanced Lacrosse Skills" dedicated to developing players.

Intro to Lacrosse: This program will introduce boys and girls ages 4-16 to Canada's National Summer game, teaching the basic pickup, pass and catch techniques. This is non-contact, however, participants need a hockey helmet and gloves. Indoor running shoes and protective cup are also needed, and shorts are recommended. Lacrosse sticks are provided (and helmets and gloves are available) if required. Cost is $20 for 8 sessions. Thursdays NSSRC gym 4:15- 5:15.

Advanced Lacrosse Skills: This program will provide lacrosse players with the opportunity to develop their stick skills, play making techniques and conditioning in preparation for the 2012 season. Full equipment is recommended. Indoor running shoes are also needed. Cost $20 for 8 sessions. Thursdays NSSRC gym 4:15- 5:15.

TO REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM you must go to the customer service desk at the NSSRC. For more information you can e-mail vemberson@gmail.com.
