Jeff Krause will be leading our Novices. Jeff is in his 4th year with the club and brings with him a great sense of what will make our Novices successful. There are a number of players coming up and newcommer joining that will make this level much more competitive.

Vic Emberson will be taking on the Peewee group. This is an age he truly enjoys coaching and we know the talent is there to take the team up another notch.

Chris Gignac, a long time Brave player, and who coached the Midgets to a C semi final in 2011 (his rookie year) will be heading up the Bantams.

Marty McNamara, our longest standing coach, is moving up to Midget in 2012. Last year Marty took our Bantams to a very imressive level and expects to pick up where thsat team left off.

The Intermediates will be coached by Vic Emberson.

Our Tyke coach is yet to be decided (though there are several candidates) as we hope to field a Provincial team in 2012. We've got the talent!

The Braves are blessed with the growth of our coaching staff. There are many willing and able people who have signed up to help develop our players and work the bench. A full list of bench staff will be posted in March.

With the launching of our Local League we will be needing more coaches, trainers and managers. Please let us know if you want to get involved... "experience not required" but a positive attitude is!

Check the calendar for the time dedicated to your age group. Lacrosse sticks are provided. Hockey helmet and gloves are needed (our club has some available). And PLEASE bring your indoor running shoes.

Catch the fun of playing Canada's National Summer game!

Come to our club office (upstairs at NSSRC) to register. It is open any times during Saturday and Monday night gym.

Good used equipment will also available there for a very good price. Remember, bring what you have in... all $ raised goes to better goal equipment!

If you are interest in applying you must submit your name, team and position requested and your credentials to the president by e-mail or in writing now.

If you are applying to coach the request MUST include a copy of your transcript from the NCCP website to verify you are eligible. If you have not yet attended a coaching clinic the club will help with the cost, though our budget limits us on how many we can send.

IMPORTANT: Starting in 2012 coaches for Bantam and up MUST take the new level 2 course to be allowed on the bench (though there are some exceptions; eg- if you have level 1 prior to 2009).

There are specific requirements to be certified to coach and you will not be assigned to a team if you do not meet the criteria. Vic will be able to guide you on these requirements, however, the NCCP website (at coach.ca) is the only thing that the OLA will accept.

COACHES WHO TOOK THE COURSE IN 2011 AND HAVE YET TO SUBMIT THEIR WORKBOOKS are not in a position to apply... GET IT DONE,  submit it to the OLA and KEEP A COPY.

DO NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are qualified.

Decisions will start being made in February.

Intro to Lacrosse: This program will introduce boys and girls ages 4-16 to Canada's National Summer game, teaching the basic pickup, pass and catch techniques. This is non-contact, however, participants need a hockey helmet and gloves. Indoor running shoes and protective cup are also needed, and shorts are recommended. Lacrosse sticks are provided (and helmets and gloves are available) if required. Cost is $20 for 8 sessions. Thursdays NSSRC gym 4:15- 5:15.

Advanced Lacrosse Skills: This program will provide lacrosse players with the opportunity to develop their stick skills, play making techniques and conditioning in preparation for the 2012 season. Full equipment is recommended. Indoor running shoes are also needed. Cost $20 for 8 sessions. Thursdays NSSRC gym 4:15- 5:15.

THIS IS FREE for all players once they are registerred for 2012 (with a small deposit). New players can try once at no cost but MUST have a parent sign a registration form for insurance purposes before entering the playing area.

My hope is, through all of our efforts, we use 2012 as a year to recognize and document our successful past and build a strong future for our sport. Thank you for all your past contributions, be it as a player, team staffer or supporter and may the coming season be your most enjoyable yet.

Lacrosse season arrives quickly and ends too fast. Our club is making efforts to give our players extended time to improve their skills. Times are posted on the club calendar for 2012 drop in lacrosse in the NSSRC gym. It's free providing sign your registeration is signed and includes a $50 deposit.

You will be able to register at the club office during Saturday gym times. Please watch the site for details on the cost and offering for the 2012 season.
