On Sunday June 3rd at 7pm, the Barrie Lakeshore Junior A Lacrosse team will be taking on the Peterborough Lakers at the Holly Community Center.  Tickets are $8 per adult and $3 per child.  Kids are allowed on the floor between periods with their lacrosse sticks provided they have on a helmet with mask.  This promises to be an action packed, fun filled night that gives our Lacrosse players a chance to see how 'The Big Boys Play!"  Hope to see you there!

The Braves opened the season in Stayner last week with our Novices winning 5-2, the Bantams winning 6-0 and Peewees winning 4-3. Our Midgets took a 7-3 loss and the the Intermediate team dropped a 6-5 decision in a very rough and tumble game that saw 4 players from each team ejected.

The Braves hope to top them at home Wednesday night.

The first game of the season, against each other, had The Reds beat Blues 7-2 but their was a few "roll in" goals on the board goalie!  Barrie teams won't be so easy...

Thursday the Peewees hosted Barrie and sqeaked out another one goal win beating Barrie 5-4. Lauren Dabrowski got 2 goals in the effort, Ben Brazda scored 1 goal and added 2 assists, Brandon Kelly and Dan Greenop offered a goal and an assist each with Josh StAmant and Noah Dion each assisting. Brody Dupuis turned in another solid effort between the pipes.

The team faces a strong Shelburne team at home on Wednesday May 16th at the NSSRC.   

The 3rd season of Tim Bits Little Braves Lacrosse took off Thursday with a new Novice & Peewee Local League program. The club is reporting more participants than before at these ages and will begin playing Friendship Games this week.

The schedule is set for an exciting year of lacrosse with games beginning May 8th and 9th in Stayner and home openers against Shelburne the week after. Check the calender for the full schedule.

The Braves launch the 2012 lacrosse season next week. There is a well planned schedule set for each team that will give them more game time and more "even" games.

Still want to join? Registration has been good and our program is getting full but we can start & register players up to May 31st and are happy to introduce you to this game at anytime.

Practices for Bantam, Midget & Intermediate start on the floor April 30th (unless the arena angels get it ready for this Thursday when we have our last gym time....start the dancing).

First Night for Little Braves, Novice and Peewee lacrosse is May 3rd. Always consult our calendar for details. There will be a parent orientation meeting during the floor time.

Bantam and up team info sessions will be arranged through the managers and head coach.

July shows time slots planned for each provincial team. In some cases exhibition games will be arranged to help prepare us for provincials.

The master zone schedule is verified by April 28th. After that the club strives to make as few changes/ additions as possoble.

Bring a brother or buddy along. The club can still accomodate players at ages though we are looking for kids 15 and 16 to give this game a try. Players start any any age. NLL MVP Steinhaus started at 17! First week April 30th finished June 30th. Registrations can be taken until May 31st.
